While it may be confusing for the first time sign buyer, reception and lobby signs basically
break down into two types. Your letters and logo directly on the wall, or they can mounted to a plaque which then mounts to the wall, and we'll explain both to make it easy for you.
The first type is individual dimensional letters and logo applied directly to the wall. This type will be cut out from various materials and custom painted your corporate colors as some of the samples above. This makes for a very clean look. The thickness creates a drop shadow to add more dimension and a clean rich look. Your name pops off the wall!
The second reception or lobby sign type is mounted to an acrylic plaque. This acrylic plaque then holds your dimensional letters and logo permanently. The plaque is beveled and flame polished as above with aluminum or gold decorative standoffs and mount to the wall. Note the plaque is spaced off the wall to create an additional shadow.
Whats the big difference? Simply the overall look first and foremost, but secondarily, should you change locations in the future the sign can simply be removed from the wall intact and reinstalled
